Real Madrid have several players under consideration as a long-term replacement for Xabi Alonso.

Xabi is ready to leave Real with just over a year to run on his current deal.

Marca says Real are now drawing up plans to find his replacement, Ilkay Gundogan (22, Borussia Dortmund), Ruben Pardo (20, Real Sociedad), Fernando (21, Gremio), Geoffrey Kondogbia (20, Sevilla) and Marco Verratti (20, PSG) are all under consideration.
