David Alaba has explained turning down Real Madrid to stick with Bayern Munich.

Alaba renewed his contract to 2021 in March, but since then Real have failed with two offers for the Austrian.

"I'm playing in Munich in one of the best teams in the world and I feel very good here, so I renewed my contract ," he told BILD.

"Carlo Ancelotti knows where I feel most comfortable, the coach has also clarified to me that I can play in various positions. From the past I know that I have a good duet with Franck (Ribery) on the left. We understand each other almost without looking."
