Manchester City striker Emmanuel Adebayor is desperate to return to Real Madrid. Adebayor has made it no secret he wants to sign permanently for Real coach Jose Mourinho.
He told AS: "We talked before we went on vacation. He said to be calm, he wanted me to stay.
"If he called me right now, I would catch the first plane out to Los Angeles. And if I could play three or four years in Madrid - I would retire with the club."
He added: "I've been in touch this summer with Marcelo, Cristiano Ronaldo ... . They are good friends."
