Gazzetta dello Sport says Real president Florentino Perez has spoken with Verratti's camp about a move to Madrid this summer.
Real coach Carlo Ancelotti signed Verratti for PSG and remains a big fan.
PSG may be forced to sell to stay in line with UEFA's financial fair play laws after splashing out £50 million on Chelsea defender David Luiz.
