Real Madrid have made a contract offer to Xabi Alonso.

Cadena Cope says Real have offered Xabi a two-year deal worth €6 million-a-year.

With Xabi, who is off contract in June, refusing to enter pre-contract talks with foreign clubs, Real chiefs are growing confident that he will be signing the new deal tabled.
