Real Madrid striker Alvaro Morata was delighted to finish the U21 Euros with the Golden Boot.

Morata won the tournament with Spain and finished top goalscorer.

"I started the final, and I tried to make the most of it and we managed to become Champions of Europe. Before the tournament I wanted to play an important role and help the team, I never dreamt of winning the Golden Boot. I want to thank the whole team because it also thanks to them.

"I want to rest but I also want the new season to start so that I can start working with the team. I am going into it with a lot of desire and am very excited. I think that this year could be vital for achieving all our objectives. I just hope I can carry on progressing with Real Madrid," said Morata.
