Real Madrid striker Mariano Diaz was thrilled with his hat-trick in last night's Copa victory over Cultural Leonesa.

Real thumped the minnows 6-1.

Mariano enthused: "It's a dream come true. To score once is incredible and there are no words to explain what it means to get three. I haven't had time to think about how I feel, I'm overjoyed and am really pleased. It has been a very special night.

"My aim is to work day in, day out and make the most of the opportunities I get. I'm focused on the here and now and things are going well, I'm really happy. We tried to play our game and in the end it turned out to be a rout and we're very pleased. We're now focused on El Clásico."
