Real Madrid striker Karim Benzema is set to avoid hand surgery.
Marca says after a visit to the specialist Miguel del Cerro, Benzema did not suffer a fracture according to the latest tests.
Instead it is an injury which allows him to keep playing if he takes precautions.
In theory he should miss three weeks but can use a cast that protects him and immobilises the zone.
Benzema can continue playing and next up is a clash with Girona in the Copa del Rey on Thursday.
