Real Madrid striker Gonzalo Higuain is grateful coach Jose Mourinho stood by him during his lean spell.
Higuain broke his scoring duck in their victory over Deportivo La Coruna.
"Obviously his words were reassuring," Higuain said of Mourinho. "It is very important support. I shall continue working hard to repay that trust.
"I was always calm. Last year I was scoring. The other year as well. I know the goals will come and it did not disturb me.
"Before we were struggling to make chances, but now things are different."
