Real Madrid striker Karim Benzema is still bitter towards former France teammate Mathieu Valbuena.

Benzema has been exiled from the national team ever since the blackmail case, and as long as Didier Deschamps is the coach it seems unlikely that there will ever be a place for the former Lyon forward.

In an interview with Le Parisien, Valbuena was asked about the problem with Benzema, and he was ready to bury the hatchet.

"I would shake his hand, there's no problem there," he explained to the French newspaper.

Benzma responded firmly with a message on social media: "you can keep your handshake."
