Real Madrid striker Karim Benzema admits he's surprised Manchester City midfielder Samir Nasri missed France's World Cup squad.
Nasri's omission by France coach Didier Deschamps has sparked some controversy.
Benzema commented to Le Parisien: "Samir had a very good season with Manchester City. I do not know why people stick him with the same problems, supposedly he's to blame for the rubbish in the group.
"I grew up with him, I've never seen him play up."
