Emmanuel Adebayor has backed claims Real Madrid teammate Cristiano Ronaldo is being unfairly targeted by the opposition. Real coach Jose Mourinho claimed after victory over Real Sociedad that Ronaldo was the most kicked player in the La Liga.
"Yeah, I think so. I agree," said Adebayor, discussing the issue.
"He is strong, but when he's on the field he's given many kicks because Cristiano is Cristiano. That's the game of the opposition.
"All the defences want to stop him being his best, so they kick him."
