Agentine sources claim Real Madrid have won the race for Benfica winger Angel di Maria. Despite the interest of Manchester City, Chelsea and Manchester United, Ole says Real have clinched a €34.5 million agreement with Benfica for Di Maria. The sale represents a record for Portuguese football.

Di Maria joined Benfica for €8 million three years ago from Rosario Central.

Benfica have already completed the signing of Di Maria's replacement, Nicolas Gaitan from Boca Juniors.
