Real Madrid are ready to step up their bid for AS Monaco winger James Rodriguez.

Marca says with Alvaro Morata on his way to Juventus and PSG preparing a big-money move for Angel Di María, there would be room for James in Real's starting line-up.

Morata's move away from the Bernabéu is a first step to lowering the club's wage bill for attacking players, but Di María is still the key.

Monaco are ready to sell James, but value the Colombian at €75m.

That would be the starting point for any negotiations, although Real have no intention of paying more than €60m.
