Real Madrid coach Jose Mourinho is determined to be reunited with Chelsea star fullback Ashley Cole.
The Mail on Sunday says Mourinho is stepping up his bid for his former Chelsea player Cole to form a dream pairing with Brazil's Maicon at the Bernabeu next season.
Mourinho sees the attacking full-backs as the key to unlocking the attacking talents of Cristiano Ronaldo and Kaka and will be given a £40 million war chest to lure them to La Liga.
Mourinho signed Cole from Arsenal in 2006 and is hoping the left-back's well-documented problems in England may persuade him to start a new career in Spain.
