Real Madrid star Cristiano Ronaldo met with Madeira government officials yesterday.

Ronaldo says he hopes to win the Champions League again in 2015.

"I am very proud to be here, where I grew up, where I have my roots and my family. These moments help push me to want to keep playing and keep winning. I'm very happy, this is very important to me. It is a privilege to receive this medal, I have no words," said Ronaldo in Legal Assembly of Madeira.

"I hope that 2015 will be just as good as 2014 and we can win everything we have won this year. Especially the Champions League.

"Talking is not my forte, I am better playing football, you know. But this is an historic moment that will have a special place in my life. It gives me motivation to move forward. Thank you to everyone who has helped me achieve something special."
