Well i think the problem is not that Messi is more protected or Ronaldo is hate, The problem is that it is so very difficult to tackle messi as while running he keeps ball amazingly so close to his feet which makes it very difficult for defenders to tackle him & it can earn u a booking, while Ronaldo relies on his blistering pace rather than any significant technique

Somehow your comment is very biased and hypocrete. When you are playing football the same intensity as the world best player ie Ronaldo or Messi or Villa etc, every defenders are trying to stop you and most of the time they will use the strong tackle or even block the striker. The worst thing is that unlike NFL footbal that has 3 umpires @ referrees, in so called soccer, it has only 1 referree. Yeahh.. u can say we have linemen too. BUT at 30 yards distance, they will not be able to see clearly any wrong doing.ONLY IF the FIFA has enough gut to implement the video replay, the we will never know whether the refrree make a good call or not.

Imagine if you drive a car at 200km/h. A slight hit by others will make your car off-balance. Compare to when you drive a car at 20 km/h. So, back to the football player like Ronaldo that utilize his speed to out wit the defender. If he dribble the ball at a slow pace, how will he be able to out wit the defender?

Use your common sense and JUST ENJOY THE GAME. We should be gratitude that we have 2 best player in the world at the same league. Looking forward to see the match between RM vs Barca or even Portugal vs Argentina...
