Ronaldo has been troubled this season by a knee strain.
Doctor Ripoli, whose medical centre is accredited by FIFA, has discussed the reasons behind the injury and what the process for his treatment is likely to involve.
"There's no reason for concern. Only 10% of these injuries require surgery," he explained
