Real Madrid star Kaka is tightlipped over the prospect of moving to Chelsea.
He sidestepped questions of a move by posting on Twitter: "My concern at this time is solely and exclusively with my physical recovery." As well as the Milan clubs, Sao Paulo have also expressed an interest in nursing Kaka back to fitness with a short-term move, but reports suggest Madrid would only consider cash bids for a player who cost them £56million last month.
That could give Chelsea the advantage if Roman Abramovich agrees to bankroll a move for a player who has previously excited the Russian billionaire, says the Daily Mail.
Carlo Ancelotti admitted in the summer that he was in regular contact with Kaka and would make a move if he didn't think a deal was impossible.
