Real Madrid star Cristiano Ronaldo has hit out at his five-match ban.

Posting an image of the dismissal being dished out by Ricardo de Burgos Bengoetxea in the Supercopa de Espana first leg, the Real Madrid star unleashed a strong rebuttal against the Spanish FA.

"Impossible to be quiet in this situation, five games!!" he exclaimed on Instagram.

"It seems to me [that the ban is] exaggerated and ridiculous, this is called persecution!

"Thanks to my teammates and the fans for the support!!!"
