Real Madrid star Gareth Bale is prepared to consider a shock move to Manchester United. The Sunday Express says the Wales international has been made aware of the Old Trafford interest and their commitment to smashing their club transfer record for the £80 million valued forward.
United actually offered Tottenham more than the world record £86 million Real Madrid handed over when Bale left White Hart Lane 18 months ago but by then the transfer to the Bernabeu was too far down the line.
Even then the player wasn't adverse to a move to Old Trafford and it's believed that the prospect of a return to this country at the end of the season appeals to him and his family.
However, there's no chance of Real Madrid selling Bale in the January window - a fact United are well aware of.
