Real Madrid skipper Raul can't understand why Tottenham dumped Juande Ramos earlier this season.

Raul said: "When Juande first arrived at Tottenham the team improved drastically in a very short space of time.

"Then they won a cup and then they sold two strikers, two players who are going to score you 40-odd goals in a season.

"They signed other players who were of a high standard but who were always going to need a period of adaption.

"Robbie Keane and Dimitar Berbatov were very important for a team like Tottenham and that could be one of the reasons why things then did not go so well."
