Spain goalkeeper Iker Casillas has apologised to La Rojo fans after their humiliating World Cup exit.
It is the first time the reigning champions have been knocked out of the World Cup after just two matches.
Real Madrid captain Casillas said: "It's hard to explain what has happened when you don't manage to win your first two matches. We apologise to the fans.
"This group of players didn't deserve to go out like this. We're the ones to blame and we're very upset at going out. We have to look to the future and end on a high note."
