Real Madrid signing Nuri Sahin is excited to be kicking off his new career.
The former Borussia Dortmund is anxious about starting preseason training as a Real player.
Recalling the moment he signed, Sahin said: "It was a very special moment.
"One day at home resting, my agent, Reza Fazeli, invited me to talk about sports issues. Suddenly, someone told me that Real Madrid was going to call from England.
"Five minutes later, stunned, I answered the phone. I say, 'Yes?'. And I hear: 'Hi, I'm Mourinho'.
"I thought that someone was playing a joke, but even so the conversation flowed. He said he had been following me throughout the season at Dortmund and wanted me for his team."
