Real Madrid are wrapping up a deal for Manchester United fullback Guillermo Varela.
Varela was David Moyes' first signing when he joined in the summer of 2013, however wasn't given a look in insofar as first team opportunities went.
"Manchester United's Under-21 right-back Guillermo Varela has joined Real Madrid on loan for the remainder of the season," a club statement read.
"The Uruguayan, who was the first signing of David Moyes' time in charge of the club, has moved to the Spanish capital to join Real's Reserves side.
"Real confirmed the arrival of both the Uruguayan and Benjamin Kuscevic into the Castilla squad and both players will have the opportunity to work under French maestro Zinedine Zidane, who is the team's coach.
"Varela will obtain experience playing in the Segunda Liga after being a regular in United's Under-21s last term and also performing as part of a three-man defence for Warren Joyce's men in the early part of this campaign."
