Real Madrid have settled on Athletic Bilbao midfielder Javi Martinez as a priority target this summer.

Punto Pelota says Real have made Martinez their No1 midfield target for the close-season transfer market.

Real coach Jose Mourinho is a big fan of the Spain international and tried to prise him away from Bilbao last summer.

Mourinho hopes for better luck this time around, though will face competition from Manchester City and Liverpool.
