Real Madrid set to swoop for Liverpool's 'uncertain' Gerrard

Real Madrid are believed to be ready to swoop for Liverpool captain Steven Gerrard. The 29-year old midfielder is reportedly uncertain about his future at Anfield and the Spanish giants want to exploit that by offering an improved £30million.

Madrid have enquired about Gerrard in the past but he has repeatedly stated his loyalty to the Reds but this new offer that has emerged is expected to shake things up a bit.

Liverpool missing out on the Champions League and facing uncertainty of its own in regards to a takeover could be two overriding factors but the main issue will be if manager Rafael Benitez is still at the helm.

Gerrard and the Spaniard have been at odds this season and if he is to remain at Anfield, it may make Gerrard think twice about the Madrid offer.
