Real Madrid set to offer £90m for Man Utd's Rooney

Recent reports suggest that Spanish giants Real Madrid are set to offer Manchester United striker Wayne Rooney £90million. The Sun suggests that United will be offered the sum plus they will pay Rooney £250,000 a week for five years.

Real Madrid president Florentino Perez is thought to be keen to reunite Rooney with former striker partner Cristiano Ronaldo and although the 24-year old England international's Old Trafford contract is until 2012, it will not bother the Madrid chief.

It is also believed that the Spanish club are keen to go after England boss Fabio Capello.
