Real Madrid are scrambling to trump Porto for Tenerife striker Ayoze Perez.
The 20 year-old has been a revelation in this season's Segunda Liga, scoring 12 goals and attracting interest from across Europe.
Porto are in advanced talks to sign Perez, but El Confidencial says Real have made contact with the player's camp, detailing their pathway plan for him.
Real would first add Perez to their Castilla team, with the view to fast-tracking him to Carlo Ancelotti's senior squad before the end of next season.
In his current contract, Perez can leave Tenerife for a bargain basement €1 million.
