Real Madrid president Florentino Perez is being encouraged to move immediately for RB Leipzig striker Timo Werner.
Real coach Zinedine Zidane has requested a new "No9" signing for January and is a fan of young Germany international Werner.
Perez would prefer to bring in a 'pinch hitter', eyeing an experienced cut-price signing in the guise of Alvaro Negredo (Besiktas) or Roberto Soldado (Fenerbahce).
However, Don Balon says Real scouts have recommended Perez move immediately for Werner given his present form.
The belief if the striker's valuation will only rise as his form and impact continues.
Werner said last week: "Right now I'm not thinking about Real Madrid or any other club. But of course it makes me happy to read that Real Madrid are interested in me.
"It would be a lie to say it doesn't interest me..."
