Real Madrid star Cristiano Ronaldo says the club does not need another forward, shooting down hopes of Emmanuel Adebayor again joining the Spanish giants. The Manchester City striker spent time on loan with Real last season and was hoping he could return to the Santiago Bernabeu as his future at Eastlands remains clouded.
But Ronaldo suggests that Adebayor is not required as Jose Mourinho's current strikeforce of Karim Benzema, Gonzalo Higuain, Jose Callejon and himself is adequate.
"I don't think that we need to sign another forward. We are happy with the line-up as it already is," Ronaldo said from the pre-season tour in China.
Adebayor was recently left out of City's tour to North America, and instead trained with the youth team, indicating that he is unlikely to be used by Roberto Mancini this season.
