Jose Mourinho says he would love to again lock horns with Manchester United manager Sir Alex Ferguson.

The Portuguese boss of Spanish champions Real Madrid has re-iterated his desire to again manage in England following his spell with Chelsea which finished in 200.

However, Mourinho has indicated that he will not look to succeed Ferguson at Old Trafford as he would rather take on and beat arguably the game's greatest-ever manager.

"No, the perfect scenario when I go there is to coach, because I think football will lose a lot when he stops and there are not young managers and old managers," Mourinho told CNN when asked if he wanted Fergie's job.

"For me, he's the boss. I call him the boss because he's the boss of the coaches and I hope that when I go back to English football he still manages Man United."
