Real Madrid striker Karim Benzema is ready to join Aston Villa on loan according to reports.
The France international is highly likely to depart the Santiago Bernabeu this winter but has told Villa boss Gerard Houllier he will only come to the club if Real are compensated.
That could come in the way of Manchester City's Emmanuel Adebayor who is attracting interest from Jose Mourinho.
Benzema wants to reunite with former Lyon boss Houllier and is willing to go on loan even though Real's Gonzalo Higuain is currently out with a back injury, meaning he may be given more game time by Mourinho.
