Real Madrid GM Jorge Valdano has ruled out moving for Inter Milan fullback Douglas Maicon.

"We will not make that offer, as we already have Sergio Ramos in that position and he has nothing to envy Maicon," commented director general Valdano on Radio Marca.

"He is an attacking player with some similar characteristics to Kaka. We are looking for a more defensive midfielder to place alongside Diarra."
