Real Madrid readying £60m bid for Everton goal ace Lukaku

Real Madrid are ready to splash the cash for Everton hit-man Romelu Lukaku

The Sun is reporting that the Spanish giants have made contact with Lukaku's agent Mino Raiola and are prepared to spend£60million to lure the striker to the Santiago Bernabeu.

It is believed that Lukaku is content at Goodison Park but feels his career will really progress if he is playing regularly in the Champions League, which is certain to occur with Real.

Real president Florentino Perez is planning a summer overhaul having seen the La Liga title slip away for the fourth-straight season and is expected to offload France international Karim Benzema in the next transfer window.

Los Blancos see Lukaku as the perfect replacement for Benzema and will reportedly offer good money to get him Merseyside to the Spanish capital.

The 22-year-old Belgian has flourished since leaving Chelsea for Everton, initially on loan in 2013, and is currently third on the Premier League's scoring charts this season with 18 goals.

He has fired home 61 goals in 118 appearances in all competitions for the Toffees since his breakthrough season in England when he scored 17 times in the league while on loan at West Bromwich Albion in 2012/13.
