Real Madrid ready to turn to Benfica defender David Luiz

Benfica defender David Luiz is in the sights of Real Madrid.

AS says Real will move for the young Brazilian if they're frustrated in their pursuit of Inter Milan fullback Douglas Maicon.

Although Luiz's contract carries a €50 million buyout clause, Real are confident they can land the versatile defender for around €30 million.

Chelsea, Manchester United, Manchester City, Inter and AC Milan have all asked about him. But Real have the inside-running thanks to their close relationship with Benfica.
