Real Madrid want to buy back Alvaro Negredo from Almeria.

The striker, who has scored 17 goals this season, joined Almeria for £3 million two years ago and can be re-signed by Real for £5 million.

Sport says Real intend to take up their buy-back option for Negredo and will have the striker start preseason with the first team squad ahead of the coaching staff deciding whether to keep him or sell the player onto cashed-up Premier League clubs.
