Real Madrid ready to bid for Hibs striker Fletcher

Real Madrid are eyeing up a £3.6million move for Hibs star Steven Fletcher, after watching him make his Scotland debut on Wednesday night against Croatia.

Fletcher set up Kenny Miller's equaliser before going off injured at half-time and is believed to have impressed chief scout Julen Lopetegui.

The Sun claims that Real value the striker at 5million euros and Lopetegui will run the rule over the 21-year-old again before deciding to make an offer.

A Bernabeu insider said: "It is a normal part of our planning to watch players around the world. Fletcher is quick, strong and has an excellent left foot. He is a very good player."
