Real Madrid are pushing Arjen Robben to make a public declaration of his ambition to move to Spain.

In the same way the likes of Ronaldo, Christian Karembeu and Robinho have been signed in the past, Real are insisting Robben demand a transfer from Chelsea and declare publicly he wants to move to Madrid.

El Mundo Deportivo says Real are even pressuring Robben to skip training at Chelsea to accelerate negotiations. Both Wesley Sneijder [Ajax] and Royston Drenthe [Feyenoord] were signed by Real after going AWOL from training at their respective clubs.

However, Robben is reluctant to go against manager Jose Mourinho and Chelsea management.
