Real Madrid president Perez wanted to stick it to Spurs with Ozil Arsenal sale

Real Madrid president Florentino Perez wanted to stick it to Tottenham chairman Daniel Levy by selling Mesut Ozil to Arsenal, it has been revealed. The Daily Mail says such is the bad feeling at Real Madrid over Levy delaying the completion of the Bale deal for as long as he did - even allegedly arguing over the timing and wording of the official announcement - it is understood Real president Perez became doubly determined to sell Ozil to Arsenal, contrary to Levy's wishes.

It's claimed Levy was told two weeks before Ozil's departure that the German was not for sale.
