Real Madrid president Florentino Perez has made a firm move for Tottenham midfielder Dele Alli.

Stung by Barcelona's record swoop for Philippe Coutinho, Perez feels he needs to respond and has asked super agent Jorge Mendes to find him a Galacticos signing.

Don Balon says Alli's name has been raised, with Mendes having an association with the midfielder's new management company.

Perez has informed Mendes he'd be willing to spend big on Alli this month, though is prepared to wait until the summer.

The president is also maintaining talks with Inter Milan striker Mauro Icardi's representatives about a January move to Spain.

Both players will require at least €100m offers to convince their clubs to sell.
