Real Madrid president Florentino Perez has angrily hit out at claims over Gareth Bale's back injury.
Perez denies the former Tottenham star has a slipped disc.
"What it says in the article is not true. Something has been made out of nothing. Bale is fit to play and wants to show that he is fine. All of the doctors have made it clear that a small disc bulge is relatively common in elite footballers. Not all athletes have scans, so not all of those that have these disc bulges know they have them. Elite athletes suffer more with the back and can handle it, but this is something normal. A big deal has been made out of something normal.
"All this affects Bale's image and dignity. The player himself and those around him are concerned because they have contracts and campaigns that this could affect. They said that he has a slipped disc when he doesn't and our legal team and looking into what we can do."
