Jose Mourinho's decision to skip the Ballon d'Or ceremony on Monday night is being viewed as a deliberate snub to Real Madrid.

AS says Real president Florentino Perez is angered by Mourinho's choice to see his son play at a local junior club in Madrid rather than travel to Switzerland with the club's delegation.

Florentino, Iker Casillas, Cristiano Ronaldo, Sergio Ramos, Xabi Alonso and Marcelo were all present at the gala ceremony, but not Mourinho, despite his own nomination.
