Real Madrid president Florentino U-turn on De Gea, Courtois (& Keylor) plans

Real Madrid president Florentino Perez is ready to keep Keylor Navas next year.

The Costa Rica goalkeeper was expected to be sold to make way for a big name arrival - with David de Gea (Manchester United) and Thibaut Courtois (Chelsea) topping his shopping list.

However, Diario Gol says Keylor still retains support inside the dressing room, with skipper Sergio Ramos already informing his president the players do not want to see their teammate sold.

And for his part, Keylor also doesn't wish to leave and is happy to dig in his heels on a contract that runs to 2020.

Rather than go to war with his players, Perez is now leaning towards keeping Keylor and selling Kiko Casilla. He would then bring Kepa Arrizabalaga to the club from Athletic Bilbao.

Kepa would arrive with assurances from Perez that he will be allowed to compete openly with Keylor to be the team's No1.
