Real Madrid president Florentino Perez has told club members they did consider signing Manchester United star Paul Pogba.

Marca says Perez explained the situation to club partners and delegates in a question and answer session that lasted two hours between Los Merengues' president and those who vote in the club elections.

One query aimed at the 69-year-old surrounded what actually went on with the Pogba saga, as the Juventus man eventually joined United, with Perez stating that he met the midfielder's agent, Mino Raiola, and subsequently analysed the deal.
