Real Madrid president Florentino Perez finds himself stuck in the middle of the row between coach Jose Mourinho and defender Sergio Ramos.

Mourinho axed Ramos from his squad for Tuesday's victory over Manchester City after their defeat at Sevilla.

El Confidencial says Mourinho decided to make the call after Ramos challenged him in the video analysis of the Sevilla defeat in front of the rest of the squad. The Real coach was having none of it and decided to axe Ramos as a show of his authority.

Perez is concerned as he's close to Ramos, speaking regularly with the defender about morale inside the locker room.
