Real Madrid president Florentino Perez hasn't dropped his interest in River Plate midfielder Juan Quintero.

The Colombian international has been tracked by Real since before the end of last season, having shone at River on-loan from Porto.

Real are in talks with River for Quintero's teammate Exequiel Palacios, with a deal expected to be soon concluded.

However, their business may not end there with Quintero still a player hugely admired by Florentino, reports AS.

Any deal for the midfielder will have to be struck with Porto.
