Real Madrid president Florentino Perez is ready to buy back Mariano Diaz from Lyon.
The former Castilla star only left Real in August for OL, where he has enjoyed a spectacular start to his Ligue 1 career.
Perez and his scouts have seen enough and the president, reports Diario Gol, intends to buy the striker back for next season.
Mariano will return to work with the first team squad and challenge for a place in the starting XI.
However, the mid-term plan will be to sell the youngster for a major profit - in similar fashion to their sale of Alvaro Morata to Chelsea.
