Real Madrid president Florentino Perez is lining up a shock move for Barcelona midfielder Thiago Alcantara.
Eurosport says Florentino's advisors have urged him to move for Thiago after his impressive form shown in the U21 Euros with Spain.
Real are convinced Thiago will become available this summer should Barca be successful in their pursuit of Arsenal midfielder Cesc Fabregas.
While he has been linked with Liverpool and the Gunners, Thiago is understood to favour staying in Spain, with brother Rafa Alcantara making great progress in Barca's youth system and his Dad Mazinho also having a homebase in the country.
Thiago's current contract has a buyout clause of €10 million - which wall rise to €30 million from July 1.
