Olympique Marseille coach Michel is being linked with a return to Real Madrid.

With Real president Florentino Perez having doubts over Zinedine Zidane, alternatives are being considered, including former club captain Michel.

Florentino has twice failed in attempts to convince Jose Mourinho and is now seriously considering OM coach Michel.

No contact has been made, though OM are aware of Real's interest.

And should Florentino make a formal approach this summer, OM's board have agreed not to stand in Michel's way should he choose to make an emotional return.

Michel has a contract with OM to 2017.
